Ati is a Sanskrit term impregnated with many profound meanings one of which is the nature of mind. If we understand this in entirety it can give peace to our mind. Therefore, physical peace and mental peace is derived by which our thoughts and behaviors become positive reaching out to family, friends and eventually to our country and globally.

To realize this aim, the foundation has conducted several teachings including Baza guru Dungdrubs in central, southern and eastern region, attended by both young and elder population. Other programs implemented by Ati include, Buddhist counseling sessions to victims of violence and domestic problems, scholarship grants to children of economically challenged background and those children living with disease burden, mid-day meal to children at Jigme Losel primary school in Thimphu. We are humbled to mention that this initiative attracted an international award (Wenhui Award) in 2011.

Ati Foundation functions with assistance of Khenpos, Trulkus, Lamas, Lopons, Monks and devotees all of whom contribute their time energy on purely volunteer basis.
